I’ve worked here since its 2015 opening, and I can tell you that whenever the door opens, it feels like a sitcom living room where people you know and love are just stopping by all the time. It isn’t easy being a small business owner, but the good vibes that come through here make it the best job in the world.”

Another DTOP owner Dani admires is Shivangi, the owner of Wise Cup. “Any small business owner that wants to collaborate is my kind of woman. I think working together and highlighting each other’s awesomeness is one way to strengthen and support our business community, explained Dani.”

In April, they are launching a Night Market featuring local mamas who handcraft cool items like Mexican pastry, soy candles, and even children’s books. Mark your calendars; the official launch date will be Thursday, April 4, at 8 p.m. The event will also include by-the-glass wine specials inviting guests to dive into their intimate boutique and handpicked wine selection. Night Market will take place on the first Thursday of the month, along with their regularly scheduled Bring Your Own Vinyl night from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

For Estefany and Yency, the events that bring together the community are what sets downtown Oak Park apart. “What we enjoy the most about being a business owner in DTOP is being a part of the Oak Park community and participating in several fun events like Thursday Night Out and the Hot Cocoa Walk.”

A woman they admire in the local business community is Jane Drahokoupil. “She is the Director of Operations for Shaker Management Company. She is a great woman who is always willing to help in the best way possible,” explained Estefany and Yency.

Easter is right around the corner, and they’re excited to launch their special delicious and decadent spring items, including their Sweet Carrot Cake Crepe and Easter Fantasy Milkshake.
