“To say the least, it has been very tough — it was a double whammy between the pandemic and Lake Street construction. We managed to keep afloat thanks to our loyal customers who supported us.”
What have you learned as a business owner over the last six months?
“Rainy day funds are critical for all businesses.”
How can the community help Jerusalem Cafe thrive in the coming months?
“We have been a part of this community for 16 years & hope to be around for many more. The community can count on us & we hope to count on them for support.”
If you didn’t own a restaurant, what would be your dream career?
“I am a software engineer and that is my other passion.”

“I was born in Jerusalem to a father who ran a small restaurant in the old city who taught me and my brothers how to cook authentic Middle Eastern food.”
